Outings, outings...

Well, I can say I failed again at planning outings. SO far, not one outing that I planned since my term began had I successfully not changed any public detail within one week of the event. Here are my experiences... Hopefully, I shut all of them up with a grand December Holiday one.

March Holidays

Well, turns out that everything was done nicely. Approval from NEA, great stuff done, litter to be picked up, only one small detail I overlooked. East Coast (Was it East Coast?) Dosen't matter. In the end, I overlooked the detail. On NEA's website, they have a beautiful park. Great for litter picking and activities. But then, the place was so DARN inaccessible! That just sucked because it took about an hour from the nearest MRT station just to get there. At first, I thought I was doing very well, but int the end, everything went downhill... So, I had to change location, it was changed to Mount Faber. Mount Faber Park. Great location. In the end, Ms. Tan couldnt come. It was cancelled. No ones fault, I dont blame myself, but the thing I hated myself for was that I couldnt even see the detail of location. In the end, we did not get the approval in time for Mount Faber, but didnt go anyways.

June Holidays. Still an ongoing process, but so far, a fatal error. I was unable to see the date. People say release a date first. So, people will mark it out. Well, that's what I did. I marked out 17 June. And then, people couldnt come, so they started posting them on the class blog. Turns out, I thought that the number of people that could come was suffice. It was rather okay. Activities could still go on, but it was not that ideal. Well, then Ms. Tan expressed her concern. Naturally, I had to do something didn't I? Well, maybe she was not exaggerating after all. I checked, and thought, okay, maybe it was too little. Orders from up and above have been given wer'nt they? And so, begins the process of straining my head and wasting my time, that I would have to go around and ask people the dates that they were free. Then again, is Ms. Tan free in the first place? hmmmm...

Places of improvement: Location and time and people. 3 important factors that I overlooked and made silly mistakes. Must be good. Time, should give a back up timing early. There would always be a travel declaration so use that as a reference. When is Good works fine as well. People too little, might be okay, might not. Depends on whether higher orders have been given.
